Complicated MI
Heart failure and left ventricular dysfunction are both considered major complications for the AMI patient population. Approximately 20–50% of AMI patients have an abnormal third heart sound. Without proper screening, however, potential heart failure is often under-diagnosed leading to longer hospital stays and potentially diminished patient care.
By screening AMI patients with AUDICOR®, these major complications of AMI can be quickly identified, helping lead to improved patient care, correct coding, and appropriate reimbursement for the hospital.
